What should I do if I don't get the right care?

Midwives and medical professionals are there for the wellbeing of you and your baby. If you do not feel you are being given the right care it is never acceptable to verbally or physically abuse anyone. There are processes in place and while emotions can be high it is important to remain calm and polite. Everyone wants the best outcome for you and your baby

What care should I expect after 28 weeks

After 28 weeks, fetal movements are expected to be more regular and well-established. From this point, reduced movements are a clinically significant event, and care is more structured and consistent across the NHS.
What care should I expect between 24 - 28 weeks

"If presenting with RFM between 24+0 and 28+0 weeks of gestation, the presence of a fetal heartbeat should be confirmed by auscultation." - RCOG Green Top Guidelines Most hospitals do not routinely use CTG before 28 weeks because The fetal nervous system is immature and CTGs can appear “non-reassuring” even when everything is normal
What care should I expect at under 24 weeks?

It is common for movements not to be consistent by 24 weeks. If reporting at this stage a midwife will confirm the presence of a fetal heartbeat (this should not be attempted at home). If fetal movements have never been felt by 24 weeks referral to a specialist fetal medicine centre should be considered to look for evidence of fetal neuromuscular conditions.
